President's Speech to Kids Opens Political Pandora's Box Double standards as usual.

Since y'all were so dead set against the President speaking to students, why's it okay for one of your own to do it? Such hypocritical morons!!! PBL, I'm a conservative, not a Republican, and I did not vote for nor do I support the present resident of the White House. I do agree that if a student/parent(s) can opt out of hearing Obama, they should be able to opt out of this as well. That being said, if Obama had initially wanted to speak to school kids about staying in school and getting good grades, I wouldn't have had a problem with his speech. Unfortunately, that was not his original intention. He wanted them to write papers/letters about how they could help HIM rather than the country. This country is not one man or woman, it is a group of individuals that came together to create and continue a country and way of life that I think we can agree, while it is not always perfect, is the best in the world. The uproar came from Obama wanting our children to support him rather than their country. Luckily, two of my children are out of school or they would have opted out. My youngest hasn't started school yet but if this same situation arises where someone of Obama's opinion wants to speak, he will be opted out. Yeah, you're right. He really wanted tweens to give him advice. You're very perceptive! It wasn't a matter of actually getting help from them but rather indoctrination of them. This goes both ways. You wouldn't like it if a Republican president did the same thing any more than I and others liked the way NObama started his crap. If you'll think about it, you'll probably agree. The fact of the matter is sales on pandora bracelets ALL politics with the exception of American history should be left out of the schools. I don't want the present poser telling my kids his BS any more than you would want Bush doing it. Encourage the kids, yes, by all means, yes, but lets leave them out of all the ridiculous, partisan BS. They have enough going on without either side's BS being shoveled on them as well. As for myself, it's simple, I trust NObama about as far as I could pick him and throw him. ElRay Jackson wrote: HCP Holder is just another misinformed "teabagger." Oh my gosh, The President wanted kids to write about how they could help THE PRESIDENT. Get a clue. Does everything have to be explained to you people? DO people have to hold your hand like a child and explain the request? Don't make up things just because they sound better to you. NObama changed his message ONLY after everyone started raising hell over what he was trying to do. No, I didn't think NObama was actually asking for the kids help. It was indoctrination, plain and simple, and I wouldn't want my kids subjected to it. I don't support NObama's heidi klum jewelry ideology. He's a sociallist as far as I'm concerned. You like him. Great! I don't. Great! This is still America and, at least for now, we're both allowed our own opinions. It wasn't a matter of actually getting help from them but rather indoctrination of them. If you want to talk about indoctrination, American history is political and very one sided and in no way represents all of America. Can you explain why it should not be left out how much pandora bracelet of schools? If you want to talk about indoctrination, American history is political and very one sided and in no way represents all of America. Can you explain why it should not be left out of schools? If Obama wants to go into every school nationwide and encourage students to stay in school and do the best they can, I'm all for it. What I'm against is him or one of their teachers trying to force their opinions on my children. Teach them the FACTS then get out of way and let them think for themselves. When my son asked who I thought he should vote for, I gave him my opinion as his father then told him to listen to ALL sides and to form his own opinion. We hear tapes pandora charms sydney of children singing songs about Obama that sound strangely like the kids that sang to Hitler or of a teacher berating a student because they're for McCain. Neither of these have a place in our schools and you would be screaming if the same had been done about Bush. Hell, I wouldn't like that either. Yes, Obama is a historical president but he's just a man. not the second coming. Teach them our Constitution. Teach them the founding of our country.

Teach them about our form of government. Teach them about ALL of our presidents including Obama. But the teacher's opinion should be left out of ALL of it PERIOD.
